When Christina Humphreys heard about a rescue kitten with a cleft palate and two different colored eyes was available for adoption. she knew they were the perfect forever home. Her son, Madden, shares the same conditions.
The 7-year old has been bullied by classmates, to the point where Christina took action by encouraging Madden to create a video that explained his issues and reminded others to remember to be kind.
“The only thing we can do is try to change our perception on bullies, and try to change the way it affects us,” Christina shared with FoxNews she had told her son. “Unfortunately, there will probably always be an unkind person that we’ll encounter. It will always sting and hurt, but we can’t control other people’s behavior, so we will just try our best to change our own mindset.”
Through the help of friends, the Humphrye’s traveled from Oklahoma to Minnesota to get their new family member.”We’re usually not spontaneous people, but we knew that we were meant to love this kitty. Moon, the kitty, and Madden are the perfect companions for each other.”
